Early Move-In/Housing

Viking Launch students arrive to campus a week prior to the start of fall 2024 quarter. Early housing move-in provides students with added time to become acquainted with the university campus life. Viking Launch students often reside in  two different residence halls (specific halls, TBA) to engage in an enduring support community. Students can opt into other housing arrangements upon request on the Viking Launch application. The housing choice is permanent for the 2024 – 2025 academic year, with no exceptions unless you opt into reside off-campus during the week of Viking Launch.

All incoming fall students who want to live on campus (including Viking Launch participants) must apply for housing through the MyHousingPortal, pay the deposit, and complete roommate search and room selection by the deadlines listed on the Housing Timeline.

After you apply for on-campus housing you are eligible to use Roommate Search. In your Search bio you should mention you are registered for the Viking Launch program and will select a room in either Fairhaven or Kappa. Please check the status on your MyHousingPortal dashboard often for updates. If you are participating in both Viking Launch and Honors, please contact University Residences for guidance on your residence hall selection.
